Does getting started affect my credit score?

No. The initial information you share with Whicheye is used for guidance only and does not trigger a hard credit check. A formal credit inquiry only happens once you’re ready to proceed with a lender, and your broker will explain this step clearly in advance.

How long does it usually take to get pre-approved?

Most homebuyers receive a pre-approval decision within 3–7 business days after submitting all required documents. Timing can vary by lender and by how complex your income and financial history are, but we’ll give you a realistic estimate based on your profile.

What documents will I need?

Typically you’ll need proof of ID, recent payslips or income statements, tax returns, details of existing loans or credit cards, and information about your savings or deposit. If you’re self-employed, lenders may ask for additional financial statements. Your Whicheye broker will send a tailored checklist so you know exactly what to prepare.

Do I have to buy a property through Whicheye as well?

No. You can use Whicheye solely for mortgage broking, solely for real estate support, or both together. Many buyers prefer having everything in one place, but you’re free to work with your own agent if you already have one.
